stirs the air from shadowed groves and echoing caverns, sending resonant pulses that thrum like the heartbeat of the forest itself. Each vibration coils around wanderers, wrapping them in a cloak of sound that shifts and sways, a living tapestry of rhythm and memory. He is a conjurer of electronic worlds, a wayfarer navigating realms where genres dissolve and music becomes both map and landscape.
In the hidden dungeons of performance, he summons waves of Trip Hop, Nu Jazz, House, and Dance, blending live incantations with electronic sorcery. Every session is a ritual, each track a spell, designed to awaken emotions long buried and forge connections across the unseen divide.
Inspired by mystical guilds such as Warp Records, Ninja Tune, Hivern Discs, Denovali Records, Border Community, Ghostly International, R&S and many more, he channels their arcane energies into his craft. The Forge calls to other seekers—fellow travellers of sound, artisans of remixing, co-writing, and audiovisual alchemy. Together, to explore uncharted territories, bending frequencies and textures into landscapes yet unimagined. His compositions have echoed through enchanted halls such as Dance City and Alphabetti Theatre, leaving traces of magic in the air long after the last note fades.
Currently, he roams the labyrinth of urban solitude, tracing the pulses of digital landscapes while seeking moments of human connection hidden in the flux. Each creation is an invitation: to fellow dreamers, architects of sound, and wanderers of the electronic unknown—to join in crafting worlds that exist somewhere between memory, imagination, and pulse.

I’m an electronic music producer and sound designer working under the name Lonely Owl.
My work focuses on creating immersive sonic environments that explore rhythm, texture, and emotional space. I’m particularly interested in how sound and music can function within the narrative, supporting character, atmosphere, and psychological tone rather than sitting on top of the image.
My practice draws on Trip Hop, Nu Jazz, House, experimental electronic, and ambient music, often blending rhythmic structure with textural and sound-design –led approaches. I value collaboration and process, and I enjoy working closely with directors and creatives to allow sound and music to evolve alongside a project.
I’m influenced by labels and collectives such as Warp Records, Ninja Tune, Hivern Discs, Denovali Records, Border Community, Ghostly International, and R&S, whose exploratory approaches to electronic music have informed my own. Collaboration plays a central role in my work, particularly through remixing, co-writing, and audiovisual projects that explore the intersection of sound, image, and narrative.

My portfolio spans electronic composition, sound design, and interdisciplinary collaboration across film, animation, contemporary dance, theatre, and live performance. I’ve been commissioned by regional and national organisations to create bespoke work, often working directly with creative teams to support narrative and emotional intent.
Notable projects include sound design and composition for Meta4Dance, developed through observational workshops, field recording, and Foley processes, and presented across multiple performances in the North East. I’ve also created sound design for animation projects with the Women’s Environmental Network, including work presented internationally during COP26, followed by a subsequent recommission.
Earlier work includes an Arts Council–funded contemporary dance and film project, dare you: Question the Love Between Girls, performed at Alphabetti Theatre. Alongside commissioned work, I maintain an evolving body of original material under the Lonely Owl moniker, exploring atmospheric and rhythm-led electronic forms with a strong focus on mood, pacing, and emotional continuity.
In parallel, I’ve worked as a sound technician at The Stand Comedy Club, supporting live comedy, theatre, film, and music events. This has strengthened my technical confidence, adaptability, and collaborative problem-solving skills in live environments.
